ARTISTS FOR PEACE AND JUSTICE

Artists for Peace and Justice is a non-profit organization supporting communities in Haiti through programs in education, health and dignity. With your help, we are removing the barriers poverty poses to a future of opportunity for children in Haiti. Learn More or Donate NOW.
A little over a year ago, on January 12th, 2010, a 7.0 earthquake devastated the town of Port-au-Prince in Haiti, destroying homes, businesses, families...but not crushing the dreams of Haiti's children.
Artists for Peace and Justice was in Haiti before the earthquake building relationships with the community in Port-au-Prince, which enabled us to respond quickly to the humanitarian crisis.
Our response was to stand side-by-side with the Haitian people to bring our hands, hearts, laughter, joy, supplies, resources, to address the urgent humanitarian need, whilst also thinking ahead to the challenge of providing education for the many children who are the hope of the nation.
With your support, Artists for Peace and Justice continues to provide for the basic needs of the community we work with, removing major barriers preventing children from going to school, such as medical care, food and clean drinking water. We have already spent 90% of the money we raised from your generous contributions.
Our mission is to build the first free secondary school in slums of Port-au-Prince, The Academy for Peace and Justice, which will provide a holistic education program for 3000 students.
In October 2010, your support enabled us to open the doors of the Academy to the first 400 children, 400 dreams.
Together we can make it 3,000. Donate to us NOW. Rebuild Haiti by educating future leaders.
