This was a concept for a mailer that was suppose to showcase interviewed authors hence the T.V. and the open book. When you look at the cover the T.V. is turned off, as soon as you open the book the T.V. "turns on" showing the first author. It seems turned on because the screen is die-cut for you to see the author.
This is with no pages in it. It's nice to close it and see the black T.V. and open it and see the Authors face like you really did turn on the T.V.
On the left side would be a teaser DVD. On the right you can see the T.V. screen has been die cut so that you can see the author. On the top right corner the page seems folded (fake computerized fold) like you would fold a page in a book you are reading. Here you see the episode number you are on.
These are the actual cards the person is pulling from the "folder". This piece was supposed to be very intimate and feel like you're in someone's home watching these interviews. BTW this does not do justice to this piece, it's a lot nicer when you get to see the printed version and "play" with it.

| Very nice. I really like the concept. And perhaps it's just as well it didn't get chosen; now you can use the idea elsewhere. I think it would be a great idea for a children's book, using the cards to move them away from television toward reading. | |

| Very interesting... I'm gonna definitely look into that. I love doing children's "stuff" =) Now I'm gonna be thinking about this for the next week until I come up with something. Thanks so much. | |
