sunrise? maybe?

i saw the sunrise today

it was not as i envisioned

so bright, in a new way

with such magnificent precision

a lovely hue of pinks and orange and red

all these colors fell through the air

throughout my head

as i was standing there

as i breathe this deep

and my eyes become so heavy

as i drift back to sleep

i feel i was not ready
