Sketch 1

Here's a scan for my first idea for this t-shirt. I found a rad pic of a Sioux woman holding some cut rushes for baskets and had the idea to have her holding stalks of corn. The company is called Green Element and I wanted to show a motherly, nurturing, feminine image.

Screwing around

I'm messing around in Illustrator to see how the final might look with some added elements like the logo and some nice computer-aided perfect circles. Still rough, and no color yet, but I'm workin' on it! Think I might hand ink and color digitally.

New direction

So I scrapped the original idea and sketched out a new one. I inked it up with croquil and brush, then scanned it into illustrator. It was a pain in the ass cuz the sheet was too big for one scan, so i had to scan it 3 times and slap them together. Cripes!
