These are altered book projects that I have created.

Let's Go Outdoors

This is a children's book that I found in a second hand shop. I started working on it to just add to the large text and great photos, and it became a major project that took months to complete. I wanted to keep the original text and photos and just add to it, I loved working on this book. By the time I was halfway through I realized I was going to have to rebind it, which was a good learning experience. I'm glad it was only 80 pages.

My Father, My Hero

This is an altered book about my father, his life, his art, his experiences. I had a lot to say here. There is a special fold out section about his experiences from being on the U.S.S. Indianapolis when it was sunk.

The Secret In Aunt Zephora's Closet

This was a book project that became an ensemble. I started with the book of shadows, and as I was working on it, a person emerged who had owned the book. I then created the artifacts for the ensembe to fill out a narrative about the character. Aunt Zephora had passed away. She had been a maiden aunt of two girls, to whom her personal belongings had been willed to. In the large box are Aunt Zephora's tools for performing spells for love, beauty and fertility.
