I've just had my life turned upside down again, I'll probably get into trouble for this one, but I really do need some help, and I'm really hoping that someone in the Spraygraphic community might have some ideas for me.

I am not a fundraiser as such, I'm a doer, but I was asked to visit a community in our desert area the Great Karoo recently where the population of about 8,000 people are starving, and see if I can help, because I have been doing community development work for the past 11 years.

The community are in dire straights, there is no industry at all, the adults have no skills and no opportunities for employment, the majority of the children are suffering from foetal alcohol syndrome, and I am currently packing up my home to move to the desert and go and help this community.

My plea is this, if anyone has any ideas about how and where I can go to raise the funds to get this community on the road to recovery I would greatly appreciate the help.

I have registered a non-profit organisation so as to be compliant as a fundraiser, because I will need to raise about US$ 150,000.00 over the next three years. I am also currently designing the web-site for the community.

If anyone does have any ideas I would welcome them and be eternally greatful.
