Front of folder

AP Folder/Poster - Front of folder by Johana Maldonado

This is the Academy of Preachers tag line. Their focus is to inspire preaching, I show this by making the dots in the letter i red and have them floating everywhere like speech and inspiration would. I decided to make the i in "preaching" completely red to connect the viewer with the piece. That way when you read the tag you first get i then you go to the tag.

Open Folder

This is what you would see when you open the folder. This is where you get the Academy info and some testimonials. Those are images of young people that have been captured by the preaching bubbles! The mic on the pulpit is also red to reinforce the preaching aspect, which is essentially more important than the inspirational side (another reason I made the i in preaching completely red).

Back

AP Folder/Poster - Back by Johana Maldonado

This is the back of the folder. Here you have quotes from the bible. I made whatever important "i" dots in these quotes red also. So now these bubbles have taken a bunch of positive meanings.

Poster

This is what you get when you open the folder completely. The speech bubble is actually coming out of a "young preacher" so now what the academy is trying to do has actually happened typographically! =D So exciting this design stuff =)! And just so you all know, I was given the color red and the text and had to come up with everything else, I tried a bunch of colors and kept coming back to green. Also the AP logo is not the final one, the client just wanted a type logo to get things out the door. The previous logo shown in this portfolio is still in the air on whether they will go for it or not.
