СО_ОБЩЕНИЕ IN_FORMATION Videoperformance Dmitri Zmin asked to work around the word “information” for his media art project. Integration in my own concepts was pretty obvious. The interaction within the field of the other, can be seen as an exchange of information. Exchange of information plays a key role as to how we move within society. In the performance, which is entirely based on contact-improvisation, 5 people move by perceiving information such a gaze, touches or pressure of limbs from the others or by simple play of gravity. A traves de las differentias.... Collaboration with Ana Marañon When Ana asked me to give my interpretation of “sound”, I immediatly thought about sounds produced by bodily behaviour, and how each person “produces” his/her own sound. Finally I wanted an interaction between the nude body (nature) and the clothed body (culture). A translucent plastic foil was used to funcion as clothing. Normally a body is fragile, and you cover it to make it more resistant. Here I wanted the "cover", the foil, to be the fragile part. During the movements, I wanted to transform the foil from the outer part to the inner part, while my body became the outer part instead. This was helped by externalising my "body-sounds" (heartbeat and breathing) as a soundscape.

Artists question borders, create new borders, and tear down borders. The rope of culture from Argentina to Belgium. Collaboration with Ivana Quiternos (Argentine) Concept: Stefaan Loncke. Project: Irina Logvinova (Ukraine)
Performance about the gaze and the other. I contacted performers from different countries and asked them to stand among the crowd with a sign which reads “I” in their language. The bypasser sees the performer (his other), and the sign with the “I” which can both mean the performer, or the one who read it... the bypasser. The meaning is fully left to the interpretation of the bypasser.
