About
Our mission at Alive is to create opportunities for young women to discover their voice and realize their full potential. At Alive, we cultivate strong communities of men and women dedicated to reforming not just the media, but also the culture that surrounds young women.
Alive Magazine, created entirely by young women, for young women, is an artfully-designed online magazine that integrates original artwork with stories unlike any other magazine on the market. Submissions of artwork and articles are welcome through our Web site, by men and women of all ages, and by artists of all mediums. Submissions that contribute to negative media and role models aimed at young women will not be accepted; all others will be kept on file, awaiting the perfect pairing with another piece of artwork or writing!

We want to show off even more of your artwork here at Alive Magazine, so we're going to start having monthly, themed art displays. Entries that abide by Alive's mission will be shown in a Facebook photo album, with the possibility of artwork being featured on the website and in the magazine. The rules: Submit artwork that conforms to that month's guidelines with a short narrative describing why you chose it. | hi there, many thanks for the add. looks very good what you're doing :) hm, submission, don't know – for the 'happiness' issue i'd probably have a short story called 'outer space eden' where adam and lilith, during a cosmobiological space mission, come to terms with our silly idea of 'original sin' (the mysteriously brainwashed or at least strangely masculine biased adam and eve myth) ... what do you think? just drop me a line if that sounds interesting :) much love, reinhard | |
