My name is Danielle Olson. I was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1985.  I graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a BA in Art with an emphasis in graphic design, and a minor in art history. In 2010 I had my BA Exhibition and in 2009 my work was accepted into the Juried Student Exhibition at MSUM. In my academics, I have had a lot of experience with architecture and fine art; including drawing, ceramics and printmaking. I have done a variety of freelance work, including designing websites, print materials and branding systems. I have also designed interior spaces and illustrated commissioned portraits.

My interest in so many art and design disciplines plus social sciences is what led me to the MFA in Collaborative Design Program at Pacific Northwest College of Art. After graduating in 2013, I would like to design with transdisciplinary groups working on problems that go beyond the realm of traditional design. I like to focus social issues and how they tie in with the environment and emerging technology. I also have an interest in teaching at the collegiate level.
