I'm an artist living and working in the San Francisco/Bay Area. I received my BA in Painting and Printmaking at San Diego State University. I am interested in Printmaking and Photography but my passion is Painting; I'm addicted to the act of dragging paint across a smooth surface. I like to use strong, deep, contrasting colors that grab your attention and make your eyes physically dig into the painting. I paint mostly with oil on treated cardboard. I have always been attracted to the patterns of irregularity in deterioration and decay. The subject matter I am currently investigating is the processes involved in the end-life transition stages of Animal, Vegetable, and Mineral. The focus is on the relationships and similarities these basic elements share as they are falling apart.
