My paintings are an extension of myself. But they are also extensions of my faith. I am a Christian artist; my inspiration comes from above. It is difficult to stand apart as an artist today, but it is even more challenging to stand apart as a Christian. Arming myself only with a brush and some paint, I draw inspiration from my trials and choose to honor God with whatever life throws my way. We live in a dark world, but God is the light that illuminates any darkness. I try to embody this hope and light of Christ within my paintings to capture the essence of faith. I want people to find hope in my work. And I want my work to draw people’s attention to God.
