Tariq Sabur is a body artist and fine artist based in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. He has roots in New York and Brazil, and branches continuously outwards and inwards for inspiration. With his work, he seeks to break boundaries between nations while respecting and celebrating cultures and the individuals that create them; By focusing on the bonds, rather than the differences between people, he tries to add meaning to the "pop" metropolitan culture that we all share. He calls on diverse influences, both in the fine art world and tattoo culture. With a background in illustration, Tariq is able to translate literary or philosophical as well as visual imagery into powerful and meaningful art- something he has found invaluable as a custom body artist.
